British police said on Friday they had carried out two more arrests of suspects in the attack on the British Parliament in London, and said the birth name of the perpetrator was Adrian Russell Ajao - after converting to Islam, the British passed To be called Khalid Masood.

"Our investigation focuses on understanding their motives, their operations and their accomplices," British police chief Mark Rowley said. "While there is still no evidence of future threats, you will understand our determination to find out whether he acted entirely alone, perhaps inspired by terrorist propaganda, or whether others have encouraged, supported or directed him," he added.

Rowley also said police had held two "significant" arrests overnight, one in the West Midlands and another in the north-west of the country. "Now we have nine people who remain in custody, and one woman was released on bail," he said.

Rowley said the bomber, who hit pedestrians as he crossed a Westminster Bridge with a car at high speed and then attacked an unarmed police officer with stab wounds, before being shot dead by police, killed four people and wounded 50.

Two injured remain in serious condition, and one is still life-threatening.
